Major Michigan football recruiting news broke just before MLive’s Ryan Zuke, Aaron McMann and Andrew Kahn recorded Monday’s episode of “Wolverine Confidential” podcast.

The Wolverines picked up a commitment from Peter Bourque, a class of 2027 four-star quarterback out of Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts. According to the 247Sports Composite, he is the No. 75 overall prospect and No. 6 quarterback nationally. His verbal pledge marks four straight cycles Michigan has landed a top-10 quarterback in the country.

While he doesn’t play against the toughest high school competition, scouts have raved about his arm talent. Standing at 6-foot-4, he also possesses the prototype frame that college coaches covet.
