Little River Academy, TX (FOX 44) -- A new state law is changing the way students can use technology on campus.
Starting this school year, stricter guidelines are in place to limit distractions, promote learning, and keep students more engaged in the classroom.
Over the summer, campus and district leaders began planning how the high school will implement the new guidelines for teachers and staff.
"We're only on the third day, but I think that's what has made a smooth transition because there's no question that there's no cell phones in the lunchroom," Academy High School's Principal Meagan Pruett explained.
