FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - An 18-year-old was arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred at the end of July, the Fresno Police Department announced.

Officers report that just after 1:20 a.m. on July 30, they responded to a ShotSpotter activation near Clay Avenue and 9th Street and found a home had been struck multiple times by gunfire.

Police say surveillance video showed a vehicle driving in reverse toward the victim's home, before a suspect got out and fired multiple rounds at the home. Multiple spent shell casings were also found on scene.

Detectives eventually identified 18-year-old Josiah Rodriguez as the shooter and discovered he is an active gang member and on active felony probation for carjacking.
