BANGOR, Maine — State officials have released new details in connection with the case of a 3-year-old girl who was found dead in a vehicle outside a store in Milford over the weekend.
Autopsy results conducted by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta revealed the child's probable cause of death was the result of being left in a car for nearly 15 hours in Milford, according to court documents.
The child's mother, Kelly Brown, appeared in court Monday at the Penobscot County Judicial Center after she was arrested and charged with manslaughter in the death of her daughter, identified as Fiona Brown.
The judge placed bail at $50,000 and barred her from making direct or indirect contact with children under the age of 18.
In court, attorneys and the judge agreed to meet on Sept.
