Seattle police acknowledged Monday that homicide detectives arrested an innocent man in connection with a deadly house fire in Wallingford in June and called on the public for help in finding the actual suspect, who remains at large and may still pose a danger.
Letian Shi, 25, was arrested July 10 and charged with first-degree murder and second-degree arson more than a month after firefighters found 72-year-old Susan Lisette Klee unconscious within 10 feet of her back door. She died two days later at Harborview Medical Center.
Someone set a fire early on June 4 on Klee’s front porch, in the 3800 block of Sunnyside Avenue North.
