HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement reintroduced itself in a video launching the organizations rebrand.

“Our new name, Hawaiian Council, reflects our work and our commitment, grounded in collective leadership,” said Kuhio Lewis, CEO of the Hawaiian Council. “It immediately tells people who we are and who we serve.”

The new name, “Hawaiian Council,” is meant to reflect the group’s continued growth and commitment to the islands along with its new tagline, “Hawaiians Advancing Hawaii.”

The new logo is meant to represent the traditional aha, a cord of many strands woven together, to symbolize Hawaii’s collective strength.

The rebrand is official as of Aug. 11, across the organization’s website and digital platforms.
