SALEM, Ore. - Governor Tina Kotek announced that Oregon could potentially lose $15 billion in federal funding. This loss may impact health insurance, food benefits and other essential programs in the state.

The announcement follows a preliminary analysis conducted by Oregon's Chief Financial Officer in coordination with state agencies. This analysis was prompted by the passage of President Trump's budget bill in early July.

Kotek stated that the analysis might change once the federal guidelines for implementing the bill are released.

"I'll continue to work with fellow Oregon lawmakers and community partners to do what I can to help communities manage the hardships this would bring," Kotek said.
