UPDATE : August 11 at 7:00 p.m.

According to a release by the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the motorcyclist made an unsafe lane change, causing the crash with a pickup truck.

The 58-year-old man from Lake Forest, California was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the pickup and his passenger were not injured.

WSP said the pickup and the motorcycle were totaled.

The roadway is now open.

ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The eastbound lanes of I-90 near Ellensburg are blocked due to a motorcycle crash.

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) urges drivers to avoid the area or seek alternate routes as crews work to clear the scene.
