Foundation House Ministries is asking for the community's help to raise $100,000, as it reports a record number of calls about babies born to drug-dependent moms.

The Cleveland-based non-profit, which offers housing and a recovery program, said while more people now know about their mission and call for help, addiction knows no bounds.

“More people are beginning to look for help, where previously it was, ‘Oh, well, that's just her, or that's just on that side of town, or that's just in that community,’ when the reality is, ‘That's my daughter, that's my sister, that's my cousin, that's my grandchild,'" said Suzanne Burns, the organization's founder and executive director. “Our mission is to get her to a place where she never has to be back here again.”
