MIAMI DOLPHINS quarterback Quinn Ewers endured a nightmare preseason debut on Sunday, leaving his place on the team in jeopardy.

The 22-year-old was picked by the Dolphins in the seventh round of the NFL draft in April.

Ewers went just 5-for-18 passing, managing just 91 yards.

Fans took to social media to react to his performance, with one person writing: "He looked uncomfortable. Hope he turns things around!"

Another commented: "Project. But he does need some better players around him either way.
