Temperatures across Massachusetts are expected to clear 90 degrees on Tuesday, the second straight day of sweltering conditions amid a heat wave blanketing the state.
It could get as hot as 95 in parts of the Bay State, with Boston, Worcester and Springfield all expected to see temperatures at or above 93. Still, it won’t be nearly as humid on Tuesday as on other extremely hot days this summer, thanks to drier air mixing in at the surface. As a result, heat indices, or “feels like” temperatures, should remain right around the actual air temperature.
National Weather Service forecasters have not issued a Heat Advisory, indicating they do not believe heat indices will clear 95 two days in a row at any point this week.
