In the Metro area, it could be cloudy with a few scattered showers today. This afternoon the high should be around 91 and the overnight low will be 75 degrees.

Elevated heat stress conditions, with heat index values above 105 F, will exist across western portions of the area today. Meanwhile, heat index values approaching 105 F are expected across central and portions of east Mississippi.
