CLAIRTON, Pa. -- Two people are dead following an explosion at a US steel plant in Allegheny County , Pennsylvania, Monday.

Now, an investigation into how this happened is underway.

The incident was at the U.S. Steel Clairton Coke Works plant in Clairton.

One victim has been identified as Timothy Quinn, a father of three.

The second individual, who was found dead on Monday night, has not yet been identified.

Ten other people were injured, and five of those remain in critical condition after the explosion trapped people under rubble, prompting a rescue operation, according to Allegheny County officials.

One worker was rescued from the smoldering rubble hours later.

Five of the injured have been treated and released, officials said.
