ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan football has hit the halfway point of training camp, and freshman Bryce Underwood remains the talk of the team.

Players have praised the quarterback for his poise in the pocket, while coaches continue to be impressed by the 17 year old’s maturity.

Which prompts the question everyone wants an answer to: When’s the starter going to be named? While transfer Mikey Keene was brought in to push Underwood for the starting job, an injury left him sidelined in the spring and there’s been little talk about him in camp.

In fact, some players have hinted that Keene may not even be a full participant in practices.

That answer could come soon, with the Wolverines just 18 days away from their season opener against New Mexico and Underwood holding pole position.
