The MLB regular season is nearly through. The Detroit Tigers are already through 120 games and the postseason is fast approaching.

The Tigers know as well as any team that a playoff spot isn’t a certainty, even with just over a month of the regular season left.

However, Detroit has been in control of the American League Central for most of the year and still sit atop the division with a 69-51 record.

Baseball Reference gives Detroit a 97.6% chance to make the postseason, presenting a clearer path to the playoffs than last season’s miracle run.

With the anticipation of the postseason building, the MLB announced the schedule for the 2025 playoffs on Tuesday.

All four Wild Card series, which are a best-of-three format, will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 30, with Game 2 on Wednesday, Oct. 1 and
