On Wednesday evening, at the new restaurant at the Outer Harbor, the sun poked through a hazy sky, illuminating the salt on a chip and the glowing pink skin of a pickled red onion.
General manager Suzanne Scarcello Shatzel squatted to photograph a plate of nachos, trying to get the lake in the background. The restaurant, Perro & Poni , had just sold its first quart-sized, fresh-squeezed lemonade. It was a slow opening day on a nice, but not too nice, summer evening.
