DULUTH — Whether it’s a drive-killing penalty or an ill-timed kickoff out of bounds, every play can be the difference between winning and losing in the ultra-competitive Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Minnesota Duluth — after entering its 2024 campaign as the preseason NSIC favorites — learned that lesson the hard way last season, as miscues and self-inflicted wounds culminated in the program's worst finish (7-4 overall) since 2008.

“We understand that (if) three to five plays go the other way for us last fall, we have a completely different outcome of our season,” said head coach Curt Wiese.
