GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Grand Valley will be inundated with smoke this morning as fires continue to rage in the region. Before 9 a.m. expect the smoke to be causing an uptick in air quality issues. Today will be sunny and hot, returning to the mid-to-upper nineties. Tonight, expect conditions to clear up with an overnight low in the mid-sixties. Mountain thunderstorm chances build each afternoon this week with enough moisture moving in later this week for wetting rains. Until then, storms that develop may produce gusty outflow winds. Above-normal temperatures return to the region for the next few days. Smoke will continue to affect areas in the vicinity of the Lee and Stoner Mesa fires, reducing visibility and air quality at times. High pressure continues to sit over the region,
