The mother of a 15-year-old boy who was murdered at school has told the Mirror how she learned of her son's death through a post on social media.

Harvey Willgoose was stabbed through the heart at All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield on February 3 of this year.

His killer, also 15, was found guilty of murder on August 8 following a trial at Sheffield Crown Court. He cannot be named due to his age.

Caroline Willgoose, 51 and her husband Mark, 52, spoke to The Mirror about only discovering their “amazing” son had died after seeing a social media post saying ‘RIP Harvey’.

Despite their grief, the couple have vowed to fight on until knife arches are installed in schools. "Children are going to school scared,” she told the Mirror. “This cannot be allowed to happen again.”
