A former Royal Stoke consultant who was caught with 90,000 indecent images has been jailed today after committing a string of sexual offences.

Dr Matthew Isles worked as an ear, nose and throat specialist at the Royal Stoke University Hospital and County Hospital in Stafford .

The doctor, who worked at Stoke-on-Trent's main hospital, was arrested in February after he communicated in a sexually explicit way on the social media platform Bad Guys with a police officer acting as a 14-year-old boy.

Stoke on Trent Live reports that Isles developed an addiction to sex and pornography leading up to his offences, and that police attended his home in Whiston on February 10 and arrested him for the attempted sexual communication with a child. They found 90,000 indecent images and videos o
