Pet dog dies in fire at Winona campground

WINONA, Minn. – An RV fire Monday morning killed a dog.

The Winona Fire Department says it was called to Prairie Island Campground around 11:40 am Monday. Firefighters say no one was inside the RV at the time of the fire and damage was contained to the RV.

A pet dog died in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Winona Police Department and Winona Area Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
