GLENVILLE, Minn. — Voters in the Glenville-Emmons School District rejected a referendum for improving school facilities Tuesday. The vote resulted in 615 against and 501 in favor, failing to pass the proposal.
The referendum sought $24,425,000 in bonds to fund upgrades, including a secure elementary entrance, improved Career and Technical Education spaces, ADA updates, asbestos removal, and HVAC, roofing, and water system repairs.
Despite the outcome, the Glenville-Emmons School Board expressed gratitude for community participation. "We remain committed to safe, healthy schools—and continuing our commitment to finding acceptable long-term solutions for our facilities that benefit our students, staff, and community residents," the board said.
