Former Cincinnati Vice Mayor and city councilmember Chris Smitherman has announced he's seeking one of his former roles.
In a post on X Tuesday morning, Smitherman announced his candidacy to return to Cincinnati City Council, saying "we need experience & common sense at City Hall." "If elected, I will act to reduce crime & support our police, listen to residents on development issues & make sure tax $ are spent on essentials," Smitherman's announcement post said.
Currently a commissioner with the Ohio Casino Control, Smitherman was named Vice-Mayor by John Cranley, severing from 2018-2022.
