The National Park Service will reopen 30 campsites at the popular Julian Price Campground near Blowing Rock on Aug. 15 after crews worked across spring and summer to clear debris from Tropical Storm Helene, officials announced.
All reopened sites are in Loop A of the campground and will be available by reservation through the end of October. Hopeful campers should plan ahead: first come, first served sites are not available this season, NPS said in a news release Aug. 8. Sites will open for reservations at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Aug. 11 at recreation.gov.
