Three adults have appeared at Guernsey Magistrates' Court, charged with sexually abusing a dog.
Ian Chatting-Tonks, 63, Peter Leigh, 73, and Elaine Michelle Pasquier, 66, are all accused of abusing Mr Chatting-Tonks' dog in September 2018.
They have been charged under the island's animal cruelty law and spoke only to confirm their names and addresses - no pleas have been formally submitted.
They have all been released on bail and the case has been referred up to the Royal Court due to the seriousness of the alleged offences.
The prosecution claims that the incident was filmed by the group and the footage was discovered as part of a mobile phone seizure unrelated to the case.
