A mom allegedly opened fire when her son got into a fight at a back-to-school event in North Carolina — sending terrified kids running outside and into traffic, according to reports.

Cherez Davis, 34, pulled out her Taurus 6 handgun and fired multiple shots in the air after an altercation between her son and another boy escalated when another adult stepped in, according to court records seen by WBTV .

The mom then calmly put the gun back in her backpack and walked away, the documents alleged. 3
