Former LSU sprinter and USA track superstar Sha'Carri Richardson has issued a public apology to her boyfriend following the release of a video showing her alleged assault.

Richardson was arrested and charged with fourth-degree domestic assault at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on July 27. Her boyfriend refused to press chargers.

Richardson's boyfriend is Christian Coleman, who is also a Team USA sprinter. The couple was traveling ahead of the USA Track and Field Championships held on July 31-Aug. 3 in Eugene, Oregon. Richardson was reportedly held in the South Correctional Entity in Des Moines, Washington, for nearly 24 hours before being released on July 28, according to Yahoo! 's Kari Anderson .
