A mother and father are accused of starving their child to death on a United States Army base in Georgia .

Brandon M. Kelley, 29, and Stacey D. Kelley, 26, have both been charged with felony murder and two counts of second-degree murder regarding the death of their child, Vyolet Kelley, according to a federal grand jury indictment unsealed on Friday.

The parents are accused of killing their daughter by "depriving her of adequate nourishment and medical care," the indictment states, adding that they allegedly caused her "cruel and excessive physical and mental pain." The victim's age was not given, only that she was under 18.
