Grocery retailer Grocery Outlet will be holding an opening ceremony for its newest location at 2160 Pillsbury Road, opening its doors to its first customers at 10 a.m. Thursday.
The store will give away gift cards for its first 100 customers beginning 7 a.m., and all shoppers may receive a free reusable bag this week until supplies last, according to a news release Tuesday. Its owner, Christ Hostettler, announced a $1,000 donation to the Salvation Army and the Butte Humane Society.
PG&E scheduled a virtual town hall sharing updates on local wildfire safety work in its north valley and Sierra region from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20.
