BRAINERD — The Lakes Area Music Festival will draw its Myths & Magic season to a close with "Wagner’s Ring," a season finale uniting mythical storytelling and orchestral grandeur, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, and 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 17, at the Gichi-ziibi Center for the Arts in Brainerd.

This cinematic journey begins with "Aux confins de l’orage (At the Edge of the Storm)" by rising French composer Camille Pépin, whose evocative writing immerses listeners in a tempestuous sonic landscape.

Howard Shore’s beloved score from "The Lord of the Rings" follows featuring acclaimed vocalist Katherine Fried.
