PICO RIVERA – A woman was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition Tuesday after she was shot in Pico Rivera.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department were called to Washington Boulevard, just west of the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway near the San Gabriel River Bike Path around 2 a.m. Tuesday regarding a shooting, KABC 7 reported.

Deputies found the victim lying along the bike path and took her to a hospital in an unknown condition.

The victim, according to KABC, was living in a nearby homeless encampment.

There was no suspect information.
