Residents had the opportunity to let their inner artist shine during the Chalk the Lot event outside of the Benson Centre last week.

“This program is available for everybody. No matter your age, you can come and be an artist within the community,” said Cornwall special events assistant, Lauren Gibeau, on Aug. 6.

Gibeau said Cornwall’s recreation department also hosted a Chalk the Lot in July and the event was a success, with a number of skilled chalk drawings outside at the end of the day.

“It was nice to see that artistic side come to our recreation centre,” she said.

Gibeau shared that Chalk the Lot is one of the spaces on Cornwall’s summer bingo card. Participants can fill their bingo cards by adventuring to different locations in the city and enter their card
