Belleville Police responded to 108 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5 a.m. on Aug. 12 to 5 a.m. on Aug. 13.

Assault

On August 12 at approximately 6:45 a.m., Belleville Police responded to a call in the city’s west end regarding a disturbance in progress. Upon arrival, police located two females in a parking lot and spoke with both parties. It was reported that one female had been striking the other female after being denied entry into a building. As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with assault. She was released on an Undertaking with a scheduled court date in September.
