CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who was shot and killed by his father-in-law earlier this month.

On Aug. 1, at about 7 p.m., deputies responded to a shooting near Southeast Easthampton Street and Southeast 122nd Avenue, after a woman called 911 saying her husband, 36-year-old Marc Richard Floyd, of Eagle Creek, had been shot.

Arriving at the house, deputies found the suspect, 72-year-old David Lynn Jurgenson, standing outside the home and took him into custody.

Floyd was found inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He died at the scene despite life-saving attempts by emergency medical crews.

Jurgenson is Floyd’s father-in-law, according to the sheriff’s office.
