TOWN of SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WKOW) -- The death of a man whose body was found in manure pit on Saturday appears to be accidental.
According to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office, the death investigation remains active. Deputies first started investigating after a call around 6:45 a.m. on Aug. 9 to a farm on State Highway 19.
The body belongs to a 62-year-old man who did not have a permanent address. He was not associated with the farm where his remains were found.
The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office completed a preliminary autopsy. Officials are working on notifying the man's family.
