SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. – Parents and community members gathered at the Sun Prairie School Board meeting on Monday to demand greater transparency and accountability from district leaders. Justin Smith, a father in the district, criticized the superintendent's internal communication report, calling it incomplete and ineffective.

"The only statements we've heard since the arrest have just been one single statement from the district, and it's been that they've been fully cooperative... but in reality, I wouldn't say that they've been cooperating," Smith said.

Smith told the board that the superintendent's report on the district's public communication did not meet key policy requirements. The board agreed with a 3-2 vote that the district was not compliant.
