ANDOVER, Kan. (KSNW) – The school bell hasn't even rung yet, and the scammers are already making calls.

“Like clockwork, when students come back to school, the scammers show back up, too,” the Andover school district said in a Facebook post.

The district is warning local businesses about a scam in which a caller claims to be representing Andover Central High School to solicit donations for school magnets.

“We’ve been made aware that a caller claiming to be from a Texas advertising company and representing Andover Central High School has been soliciting businesses for donations for magnets. Our district has no affiliation with the company, which has a long history of these types of scams," the district said in the post.
