About 100 headstones and monuments at St. Patrick's Cemetery were significantly damaged by vandals in Meriden, police said.
The police department said they received several calls from concerned citizens about some significant vandalism to dozens of headstones and monuments at the cemetery.

It happened on Wall Street sometime between 8 p.m. on Monday and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, according to police.
Officers said they met with the property maintenance company and discovered that roughly 100 headstones, monuments and obelisks had been knocked off their bases - some of which dated back to the 1800s.
