CHARLESTON, WV (WVNS) -- Four long-term care facilities in West Virginia were sold to a private real estate developer, according to Governor Patrick Morrisey.

Marx Development Group (MDG) purchased the four facilities for $60 million. As part of the deal, MDG agreed to the promise of making investments across the Mountain State and building anywhere from three to five new facilities.

The four hospitals involved in the sale were: • Jackie Withrow Hospital (Raleigh County) • Hopemont Hospital (Preston County) • Lakin Hospital (Mason County) • John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center (Marion County)
