CINCINNATI — A Cincinnati man and former children's hospital doctor is facing charges of transporting and possessing child pornography.

Howard M. Saal, 73, appeared in federal court Tuesday afternoon on the charges. He was previously employed as a geneticist and dysmorphologist at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital.
