WASHINGTON — A toddler is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after falling from a sixth-floor window on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers with the Prince George's County Police Department were called to the 9300 block of Cherry Hill Road at 1:52 p.m. for reports of a child falling from the balcony.
Fire officials already on the scene told officers the 3-year-old boy fell from the sixth floor. The toddler was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A witness at the scene told WUSA9 they saw the little boy fall out of a window that was missing a screen, but a spokesperson for the Prince George's County fire department is saying it was a balcony.
