ANN ARBOR, Mich. — While the Michigan quarterback conversation shifts to Bryce Underwood as the season draws near , there appears to bean underlying reason for it.

Sure, Underwood has impressed his teammates in practice and won over the locker room in Ann Arbor, but his main competition continues to work his way back from injury.

Mikey Keene, the transfer from Fresno State who sat out the spring with an unspecified injury, has not been a full participant in the first two weeks of training camp, head coach Sherrone Moore seemed to suggest Tuesday.

“He’s done a good bit,” Moore said. “He’s participating at the rate that he can. We’ll see as far as how much he can do, and what he’ll do as we go through.”

Moore’s comments come as Keene has been noticeably absent in some camp conversation
