A woman and two dogs died in a two-alarm blaze Monday night in Deerfield, according to the New Hampshire Fire Marshal’s Office.

Just before 9 p.m. Monday, Deerfield fire crews responded to 201 Nottingham Road to investigate a report of a home on fire. A neighbor indicated they heard explosions and then saw intense flames, officials said.

Firefighters reported arriving to heavy fire coming from the left and rear of the home. During their initial efforts to extinguish the flames, firefighters received information that a woman lived in the home and a search was attempted, but crews were unable to locate her.
