COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Midlands sheriff’s agency is the first in the state to begin using an AI tool designed to help investigators.

The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office is beginning to deploy TRULEO, an investigative suite that’s powered by AI.

The new equipment will allow investigators in the office to review and organize case files faster, extract important details and prepare for court more efficiently and thoroughly.

TRULEO can also help with combing through records, detecting patterns, building timelines and suggesting next steps for investigators.
