Meteorologists are monitoring a tropical storm out in the Atlantic Ocean threatening to become a powerful hurricane in the coming days.
Tropical Storm Erin developed this past weekend and brought fatal flash flooding to the Cabo Verde Islands off the western coast of Africa, according to AccuWeather .
This first long-track tropical storm of the Atlantic hurricane season is forecast to move into a “pretty favorable region” over the next few days, Dave Dombek, a senior meteorologist with AccuWeather, told the Advance/SILive.com.
