Arkansas Postcard Past: Conway in 1913

Conway, 1913: A young woman at Central College wrote home saying, “The birthday box of goodies came today and I am simply delighted with it.” “Recitations begin tomorrow.” The school was operated by the Southern Baptist Association from 1892 to 1950 to educate women. Today it is a co-ed school — Central Baptist College — operated by the Missionary Baptist Association. This card includes a poem at the top on the “nature of women.”
