UCA professor weighs in on continued growth of federal deficit despite increased tariff collections

WASHINGTON -- Despite increasing revenues from tariffs on imported goods, the federal government reported a monthly deficit of $291.1 billion for July, a 19.4% increase from July 2024's monthly deficit.
