It’s hard to tell exactly where the Gophers football team is at through its 14th practice of fall camp on Tuesday. There are no joint practices or preseason games with other college programs to provide an actual litmus test for how Minnesota might fare after an 8-5 season in 2024.

P.J. Fleck said the energy level — and overall health — has been good with 10 days left in camp, and just more than two weeks before the season opener.

“I have not seen a dip yet,” Fleck said. “We are 2½ weeks in, and I haven’t seen a dip at all. Maybe it’s our depth. Maybe it’s our versatility. But at the end of the day, when you look at it, the group of young men we have, results TBD. But, boy, they are fun to coach.”

Immediately after practice, he told the players: “Keep (expletive) going!”
