RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The Washoe County School District Police Department is investigating a hit and run that left one student injured.

They say the student at O’Brien Middle School was walking on the crosswalk at Stead Boulevard and Silver Lake Road at 7:42 a.m. Tuesday when they were struck by a dark-colored Hyundai Palisade that fled the scene.

Multiple witnesses reported the incident to police, but were unable to provide a license plate number or a description of the driver.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call school police at 775-348-0285.
