CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - Tropical Storm Erin is moving through the Atlantic and has the potential to become the first hurricane of the season.
Meteorologists predict that Tropical Storm Erin will move west and could approach the East Coast by next week, though its exact path remains uncertain.
"Things that need to be assessed, what do we need to know?" said Joe Dellicarpini, a meteorologist at NOAA. "Well, what does the weather pattern look like across the United States and western Atlantic? That will eventually steer Hurricane Erin toward the coast or harmlessly out to sea."
